About DIGITS

Clinicians, engineers & researchers

We are a team united by a single mission: making hand assessment accessible, objective, and scalable — bridging clinical expertise with computer-vision technology so that anyone, anywhere, can measure hand health with confidence.

Founder & Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Caitlin Symonette

A fellowship-trained hand surgeon, Dr. Symonette has spent her career focused on improving how hand function is measured. In practice she recognized the need for accessible, objective hand-assessment tools that work outside the clinic.

She founded DIGITS to bridge deep clinical expertise with digital innovation — building validated, camera-based assessments that bring research-grade measurement to patients and investigators everywhere.
